RESTAURANT MANAGER

POSITION TITLE: RESTAURANT MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for all operational activities of restaurant.
TASKS
- Directs hiring, staffing, training, motivation, evaluation, and termination of personnel.
- Responsible for the successful operation, growth and profitability of the restaurant.
- Responds, investigates and resolves guest complaints quickly.
- Directs development of all members of the management team and all key people.
- Responsible for control of all operational costs, i.e. labor, food cost, other controllables.
- Coordinates the appropriate ordering of all products necessary to successfully serve the menu.
- Responsible for ensuring all products received adhere to specifications.
- Supervises weekly inventory of all products to determine weekly food cost.
- Coordinates cleaning and maintenance of equipment and arranges for repairs, and other services.
- Responsible for ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: High school or equivalent. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
Experience: Knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving a minimum of three years in restaurant operations.
Physical: Must be able to exert well‑paced mobility for periods of up to five
hours in length and have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and
up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must have the stamina to work a
minimum of 50 to 60 hours a week.
