Concord, N.C. - Cafe Enterprises, the parent company of Fatz Cafe, a 43-unit Southeastern restaurant chain and home of World Famous Calabash Chicken®, is pleased to announce that the casual, family-friendly restaurant is opening its first restaurant in the Concord/Kannapolis area this summer. The new Fatz Cafe will be located at 6081 Bayfield Parkway in the Afton Ridge shopping center and will create 120 new job opportunities for associate managers, kitchen and service staffs.
Fatz Cafe of Concord will be the 10th Fatz Cafe restaurant in North Carolina behind locations in Asheville, Charlotte, Forest City, Hendersonville, Lincolnton, Marion, Morganton, Rockingham and Shelby. Accommodating 168 guests in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, the new Concord restaurant also includes a full-service bar and separate take-out entrance. All Fatz Cafe restaurants are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and offer guests a variety of menu items that include fresh salads, appetizers, soups, sandwiches and specialty drinks and desserts. Entrees include steak, seafood, pasta and Fatz Cafe's World Famous Calabash Chicken®.
"We offer classic menu items that emphasize taste, quality and value in a friendly atmosphere, which translates into overall superior guest hospitality," said Richie Cannon, vice president of operations, Cafe Enterprises. "After opening our first Charlotte restaurant nearly seven months ago and seeing such a strong response from the public, we are pleased to open another Fatz Cafe to better serve Charlotte's surrounding communities such as Concord."
Fatz Cafe, celebrating 20 years of business this year, has more than 3,500 associates and operates in five southeastern states (North and South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and most recently Virginia) to make up the Cafe Enterprises family. The company is interested in hospitality and guest-oriented individuals to fill full-time and part-time positions as hosts, servers, bartenders and kitchen associates in the new Concord restaurant.
