Fatz Cafe Opens Doors In Concord/kannapolis Area

Concord, N.C. - Cafe Enterprises, the parent company of the popular Southeastern restaurant chain Fatz Cafe opened its doors for business for the first time in the Concord/Kannapolis area Monday, June 30, 2008. Home of World Famous Calabash Chicken®, Fatz Cafe has a guest-driven philosophy and offers a wide variety of traditional American fare accented with a unique Southern influence.
The new Concord restaurant, located at 6081 Bayfield Parkway, is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, offering menu selections including appetizers, fresh salads, sizzling soups, sandwiches, specialty drinks and desserts. Entrees include steak, seafood, pasta and Fatz Cafe's World Famous Calabash Chicken. In addition to Fatz Cafe's full menu offering, the restaurant recently introduced new lunch specials including a Create-Your-Own Combo, which allows guests to choose any two items from a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches for $5.99.
"We have built a reputation of treating every guest who walks through our 43 restaurants like a regular, and we don't plan on changing that philosophy in the Concord and Kannapolis communities," said Robert Dalby, general manager of Fatz Cafe of Concord. "We couldn't be happier to extend our restaurant concept to the Concord/Kannapolis market."
The new restaurant, which seats 168 guests and includes a full-service bar and separate takeout entrance, features an updated rustic design with a comfortable, lodge-like feel.
