Fatz Cafe Supports Community During Abc’s “extreme Makeover: Home Edition” Charlotte Build
October 28, 2008
Lincolnton, N.C. - It's not just great food and superior guest service that Fatz Cafe takes pride in - it's also the company's commitment to give back to the communities that support Fatz Cafe. Most recently, the popular Southeastern casual dining chain's Lincolnton, Charlotte and Kannapolis/Concord restaurants lent a helping hand in the Charlotte community by feeding hardworking volunteers at ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" Charlotte build.
When the Operating Partner of Fatz Cafe of Lincolnton learned that the popular family program was coming to rebuild a home for a Charlotte family, he was eager to help. The Lincolnton restaurant, with the help of the Kannapolis/Concord and Charlotte Fatz Cafe teams, provided two catered meals during the course of the one-week build for special contributors and on-site workers including the production crew and local fire, police officers residents.
"We've seen how "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" has positively affected people's lives and believe that it is such a great cause that we at Fatz Cafe wanted to help out wherever we were needed," said Byron Sackett, operating partner of Fatz Cafe of Lincolnton. "The local community came together to make this build possible, and we were happy that we could feed the supporters of this project."
Fatz Cafe operates 46 restaurants throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia. For a complete listing of restaurants and to view a menu, please visit fatzcafe.com.
