Fatz Cafe Will Soon Open First Lenoir, N.c. Restaurant

Lenoir, N.C. - Cafe Enterprises, the parent company of Fatz Cafe, a 45-unit Southeastern restaurant chain and home of World Famous Calabash Chicken, is pleased to announce that the casual, family-friendly restaurant is opening its first restaurant in Lenoir this fall. The new Fatz Cafe will be located at 975 Blowing Rock Boulevard Northwest near Wal-Mart and will create 120 new job opportunities for associate managers, kitchen and service staffs.
Operating Partner Wayne Lady will lead the team in Lenoir, which will be the twelfth Fatz Cafe restaurant in North Carolina behind locations in Asheville, Charlotte, Concord, Forest City, Franklin, Hendersonville, Lincolnton, Marion, Morganton, Rockingham and Shelby. Accommodating 168 guests in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, the new Lenoir restaurant includes a full-service bar and separate take-out entrance. All Fatz Cafe restaurants are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and offer guests a variety of menu items that include fresh salads, appetizers, soups, sandwiches, lunch specials and specialty drinks and desserts. Entrees include steak, seafood, pasta and Fatz Cafe’s World Famous Calabash Chicken.

Fatz Cafe, celebrating 20 years of business this year, has more than 3,600 associates and operates in five southeastern states (North and South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and most recently Virginia) to make up the Cafe Enterprises family.
