Fatz Cafe Introduces Premier Specialty Beverage And Dessert Menu
February 1, 2008
Taylors, S.C. – As consumers desire more variety in flavors of beverages and desserts, Fatz Cafe announces the introduction of a new specialty drink and dessert menu. Fatz Cafe’s new alcoholic mixed drinks are priced between $5.50 and $7, while the new desserts join an existing dessert menu ranging from $1.99 to $4.99.
Fatz has also extended its wine selection to provide more variety for guests. These new drink and dessert additions complement Fatz Cafe’s full menu of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees that include steak, seafood, pasta and Fatz Cafe’s World Famous Calabash Chicken. Specialty alcohol, mojitos and flavored martinis were ranked high in the National Restaurant Association’s 2008 “What’s Hot and What’s Not” chef survey because, according to the NRA, consumers are more sophisticated and adventurous than ever and are looking to restaurants to provide flavor and taste sensations.
Following these trends and, for the first time ever, Fatz is featuring drink classics alongside alcoholic and alcohol-free signature drink specialties. The new signature mixed drinks include The Peach Shed, Tybee Island Tea and the Kiawah Kooler.
In addition, Fatz is adding two new dessert items to its current dessert menu. The Double Decker Key Lime Pie is a creamy, made-from-scratch key lime pie on a graham cracker crust, topped with a second layer of key lime pie cream and finished with whipped cream, key lime glaze and a lime garnish. Fatz’ uniquely round individual-sized Carrot Cake features two round layers of moist cake filled and frosted with homemade cream cheese icing and topped with crushed walnuts and powdered sugar.
“Consumers have heightened their expectations for specialty drinks and desserts to a new level, so we created this special menu to meet our guests’ desires to explore new tastes,” said Eric Holman, vice president of concept and menu development, Cafe Enterprises.
